Some learners are able to decode words but struggle to understand what they read. Our Reading Fluency & Comprehension Intervention helps learners develop the skills needed to read smoothly, understand texts, and access learning across the curriculum.

Who This Course Supports

This course is suitable for learners who:

  • Can read basic words but struggle with comprehension

  • Need support with reading confidence and understanding

  • Have SEND or literacy difficulties

  • Are preparing for Functional Skills or GCSE courses

What Learners Will Work On

Sessions focus on:

  • Improving reading fluency

  • Understanding different types of texts

  • Expanding vocabulary

  • Identifying key ideas and information

  • Developing comprehension strategies

 
Learners practise reading in a supportive environment while building confidence and independence.

  • 1:1 lessons

  • Small groups (maximum 4 learners)

  • Flexible online sessions
