Our Step-by-Step Online English Tuition Process

We provide structured, personalised online English tuition for a wide range of learners aged 7–18+, including those seeking academic support, exam preparation, or confidence-building in English.

Our process is designed to be clear, flexible, and supportive—helping each learner access the most appropriate pathway for their needs.

Step 1: Initial Consultation (Recommended for Most Learners)

We recommend starting with a short online consultation with a parent, carer, or learner.

During this conversation, we:

  • Discuss the learner’s strengths, needs, and goals

  • Review current level and areas for development

  • Explore preferred learning style and session format

  • Answer any questions about our approach and programmes

  • Recommend the most suitable pathway (1:1 or small group)

There is no obligation to proceed after the consultation, giving you time to decide what works best.

👉 This option is ideal if you would like guidance in choosing the right support before starting.

Alternative Option: Book Live Classes Directly

If you already know the type of support you’re looking for, you can skip the consultation and go straight to booking live classes.

This option is suitable if:

  • You know your child’s general level or target (e.g. KS2, GCSE, Functional Skills)

  • You prefer to begin learning immediately

  • You are comfortable selecting a suitable course or group

👉 Explore our Learning Pathways to view available programmes and enrol directly.

Step 2: Recommendation & Placement

If you choose to attend a consultation, we will recommend:

  • 1:1 tuition or small group sessions (maximum six learners)

  • Appropriate level (Primary, KS3, GCSE, Functional Skills, or equivalent)

  • Suggested weekly session frequency

Learners are matched carefully to ensure suitable pacing, confidence, and engagement.

Step 3: Baseline Assessment & Goal Setting

At the start of tuition, we:

  • Establish a baseline of current ability

  • Identify key strengths and development areas

  • Set clear, achievable short-term targets

  • Agree on longer-term learning goals

This helps ensure sessions are focused, structured, and purposeful.

Step 4: Structured Weekly Lessons

All sessions are delivered live online in a calm, supportive format.

Each lesson typically includes:

  • Clear learning objectives

  • Guided instruction and modelling

  • Scaffolded practice activities

  • Opportunities for independent work

  • Feedback and discussion

Our approach prioritises steady progress, confidence, and consistent engagement.

Progress Monitoring & Communication

We support ongoing progress through:

  • Regular verbal and written feedback

  • Clear next steps for learning

  • Progress updates aligned to goals

  • Optional written summaries for schools or external professionals

    Technology & Safeguarding

  • Lessons are delivered via secure online platforms

  • All teachers are qualified, experienced, and DBS-checked

  • Safeguarding procedures follow UK standards

  • Sessions are structured to provide a safe and consistent learning environment
